  18. OK, let's summarize:

  20. I posted a few days ago that I had problems with PC LW crashing when I 
  21. tried to create a preview. Since then, I've managed to get it to 
  22. supposedly generate a preview, but when the playback controls come up, 
  23. all I see is a blank screen. I've been told to do the following/given 
  24. this advice from different users:
  25.  
  26. 1 - Previews don't work in the current version, but will work in the 
  27. release version.
  28.  
  29. 2 - Upgrade to windows 3.11 (I have 3.1).
  30.  
  31. 3 - Upgrade to NT
  32.  
  33. 4 - According to the FAQ, the no preview problem can be caused by old 
  34. drivers for your video card. I FTP'd new drivers from the Diamond site 
  35. (I'm currently using a Speedstar Pro), but this didn't make a difference.
  36.  
  37. So, I'm asking does the preview function actually work in the current 
  38. version? If so, will upgrading to a better (and I use that word loosely 
  39. when talking about windows) version of windows do the trick? Or is there 
  40. something else that I'm missing?
  41.  
  42. Oh, and if the preview function works under NT, why doesn't it work under 
  43. windows? Just curious.
